Skye Frizza. BCoun, GDip Family and Relationships
As a therapist Skye is known for her exceptional empathy, care, professionalism, and non-judgmental approach. With nearly a decade of experience in various therapy settings, Skye specialises in working with relationship conflict, the challenges of antenatal and postnatal relationship changes, and the complexities created by addiction within families.
Relationship conflict can have a corrosive impact on couples and families. Skye takes a holistic therapeutic approach to this issue, addressing physical, emotional, and psychological well-being to help guide her clients towards healing, growth, and positive change.
A mother of four, Skye also has the professional experience of a not-for-profit sector role working with couples and families experiencing antenatal and postnatal relationship changes. She understands the unique and sometimes overwhelming emotions that couples experience when stepping into the realm of parenthood. Skye works with new parents to help them maintain a strong emotional bond and healthy communication during the transformative periods before, during and after pregnancy.
Before specialising in relationship therapy, Skye also worked for several years as a drug and alcohol counsellor. In her counseling practice, she works with couples and families experiencing addiction to identify strengths and strategies to strengthen bonds whilst managing the impacts of the addiction.
Skye aims to create a safe and welcoming space in her counselling sessions, allowing clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences without judgment. With her commitment to ongoing professional development, Skye ensures that she is well-informed about the latest research and evidence-based practices relevant to her areas of expertise.
